The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is finally available to buy in the UK. It is the first touchscreen mobile phone from Nokia, a surprising fact considering how massive the touch screen market has become over the last year or so but better late than never.
The 5800 has a beautifully designed 3.2″ touchscreen display which is capable of up to 16 million colours and boasts haptic response which means that you get a response to confirm when you have touched the screen. Including a graphic equalizer, 8GB microSD card memory (expandable to 16GB) for up to 6000 tracks and support for all main digital music formats it seems to be the business.
This new Nokia mobile phone is also a fully equipped internet phone thanks to HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity offering high speed browsing and downloads, as well as having GPS with Nokia maps pre-installed and Bluetooth v2.0.
All in all Nokia may have been late to the party but boy have they arrived in grand style. The 5800 is a class act and a superb addition to the Nokia range and is already reported by phone retailers to be topping the sales charts.
