Search engine optimisation can be free. There are hundreds of things you can do in order to make your website get noticed. Writing articles, creating videos, blogging, etc are all tactics in SEO. The question is, do you gain the right traffic?
Ever since SEO became popular companies and individuals have used it to garner better search engine rankings. They have spent time creating the best campaign to target consumers and turn them into buyers. What’s more is that the campaigns have largely been free to them. You do not have to pay for SEO, but should you?
SEO campaigns can take several months of tweaking and monitoring before you start getting the traffic you want. If you are unsure how SEO works or if you are not seeing an improvement over time then you might need to consider paying for SEO. Unfortunately there are some individuals out there that may not be the best at search engine marketing and thus their SEO is no better than yours.
The point is you should be using a number of different tactics regarding your search engine marketing. You should use some of the free SEO options as well as paying for SEO in order to get your site where it needs to be.
There is one thing you should consider before going out spending money on a campaign and using free SEO. SEO, PPC, and marketing change because search engines are trying to make a more user friendly internet. Search engines main goal is for the consumer to find what they need when they need it. This means they must provide better search results. The algorithms are getting more complicated, which is why some of the more recent search engine changes have come about.
You may have a wonderful SEO or PPC ad campaign, but if you do not keep on top of it you will see it begin to deteriorate. You must maintain your SEO campaign throughout the week. Keep up dated on the various changes in the market. Once you know what is coming you can adapt without losing the traffic you have already gained. Like in any business, you do have to change as the market changes. Just because some of the SEO is free doesn’t mean that you can create a winning campaign and leave it. SEO is work, and as long as you realise that your website will be more effective.

Broadband service provider Telefonica Deutschland and O2 Germany, both owned by Telefonica of Spain, recently announced plans to unite their business-to-business operations, while also putting together the operation of their mobile communications and landline infrastructures to form a common body that would be called Telefonica O2 Germany, which would be able to provide convergent offers, while also registering further growth in the future.
The newly formed business division will combine the sales and marketing of the business customer offers aimed at small, medium-sized and multinational companies, in addition to the landline wholesale business, which is currently seen as the second important branch of activity after the O2 consumer business. In addition to merging businesses, it seems that the two companies also plan on consolidating their network areas, both mobile communications and landlines.
‘Thanks to the merger of Telefonica Deutschland and O2, we have a strong landline and mobile communications organisation that is able to act and react flexibly to market changes. At the same time, we are securing opportunities for further growth in a convergent world,’ commented Jaime Smith Basterra, CEO at Telefonica O2 Germany.
CEO of Telefonica Deutschland, Johannes Pruchnow, who will become managing director of the new business division, said: ‘The most important basis is our state-of-the-art IP-based landline and wireless infrastructure. Thanks to the new constellation, we will be able to advance with the merger of these two infrastructures even more quickly than before.’ Andrea Folgueiras, CTO at Telefonica O2 Germany, will manage the landline operations in addition to her existing responsibilities. The new partnership is expected to offer the possibility to merge the two areas faster than before. Basically, Folgueiras says that new synergies will be created through the restructuring process.
“Offers combining landline and mobile communications are becoming increasingly important, for business customers in particular. The new business division enables us to further expand our portfolio consisting of mobile, Internet access and VPNs. Our successful wholesale business we will continue independently as part of the business to business unit,” says Johannes Pruchnow, CEO at Telefónica Deutschland.
It is understood that the company is following a strategy pursued by competitors such as Deutsche Telekom (DT) and Vodafone which have set up business customer units to bundle the full range of telecoms services. It seems that O2 Germany was the country’s fourth largest wireless network operator by subscribers at the end of 2008, with a customer base of 14.18 million, representing 13.24% market share. Meanwhile, Telefonica Deutschland was the fifth largest broadband service provider by customers in Germany at the same date, with a total of 1.34 million subscribers, corresponding to a market share of 6%.
Sony Ericsson T707 is a new addition to the T-series. Codenamed Elle, Sony Ericsson T707 will be trying to please the ladies but maybe it’s not so simple after all. “The T707 is the next step in the style evolution from Sony Ericsson,” said Linda Schori, Global Marketing Business Manager for Style Category, Sony Ericsson.
The clamshell handset features unique light effects, gesture controls, and pulsating notifications for a better phone experience. In fact, as one of the product designers claims, the Sony Ericsson T707 was inspired by rainbows. The light effects, the stealthy external screen and the ripple-and-circle patterns inside give this otherwise modest mid-ranger a distinct personality and visual appeal.
The two circular elements on the front panel can be backlit in a choice of five different colors – amber, amethyst, beryl, diamond and sapphire – and these colors are in fact assignable to individual contacts. The light effects also work as an indicator for missed calls, but they blink in too large intervals and don’t use the color specified for the contact. At 14.1 mm thick, the Sony Ericsson T707 is not more than a millimeter thicker than most other clamshells, and the 95 grams render it pleasantly solid.
The back of the device is made of matte plastic, which feels nice and rubbery although it’s not completely immune to fingerprints. It features the Sony Ericsson logo and the loudspeaker. The exterior surface looks quite elegant. The secondary display is hidden in the large semi-circle and when it’s off, it blends in with the shiny surface and it is not very big and is just monochrome but manages to squeeze in information about the time, battery status, signal strength and missed events.
The large semi-circle is part of the light-effects that the T707 offers – it actually consists of two concentric circles that pulse with white light when the phone is ringing. Further on the little concave circle in the lower right corner of the front panel also lights up in color.
The T707 keypad illuminates gradually, lighting up in three steps – D-pad first, navigation keys next, and finally the bunch of alphanumeric keys. Of course, at this stage key backlighting is not perfect, but it will probably be improved.
The North American variant comes packed up with quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band 850/1900/2100 UMTS/HSDPA radios. It also features 2.2″ 256K-color TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution, a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, Cell-ID geotagging and video capture, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, FM radio with RDS, GPS, and 100MB of internal memory with support for microSD cards.
Sony Ericsson have put quite some effort into advertizing the T707 as an all-around stylish package that’s even fit for the tennis star Maria Sharapova. “Maria Sharapova is the perfect partner for us as she exemplifies not only elegance but also substance, just like the T707. It works hard and is also sleek, glamorous and desirable – a truly winning combination!” said Linda Schori.
The Sony Ericsson T707 ships with three colored shells. It will be available in select markets starting with the second quarter.

The word is out that during this summer Apple will launch an updated version of iPhone. Naturally, this is only a rumor so far, however the new features that recently surfaced online preview a major iPhone release soon. According to the rumor, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has provided hardware components needed to upgrade the iPhone hardware platform. These new components are the GSM/EDGE power amplifier, the pumped up 3.2 megapixel OmniVision CMOS sensor camera (the autofocus feature is still uncertain) and the new Bluetooth chip.

Apple has successfully held on to the crown for two generations and now its time for the third generation to live up to the expectations. Rumors are difficult with Apple because the company does an excellent job of killing leaks as even Steve Jobs declared. All the iPhone fans are excited about this new development, unfortunately most of them are stuck with 1 year or 2 year contracts at this time when a more meaningful upgrade is probably coming.
The LG GC900, also known as the Viewty 2, was apparently seen recently at the CeBIT show that is taking place in Germany. Reportedly shown under close supervision, with no photos allowed, this new cell phone is said to have a slight resemblance to the LG secret and has a large 3.1-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution touchscreen display.
It also has LG’s new 3D interface called S-class which was first seen on the LG Arena KM900, it uses a cube layout so you can program each side of the cube with shortcuts to your applications. There are 4 home screens which you can rotate between by flicking the screen this all makes navigation a lot easier. LG’s Viewty 2 is said to have a slide out numeric keyboard and also an accelerometer sensor.
Based on a photo of a spec sheet seen at the event, the LG GC900 is believed to include an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with Schneider kreuznach lens, image stabilization and smile recognition, backed by a Xenon flash. There are also some high tech features such as face detection which is when the camera detects up to 10 human faces and adjusts its focus and exposure to take a clear picture. You can also geo tag pictures so you can remember the location the picture was taken in. The LG Viewty 2 also has a video recorder so you can capture video footage and has a great feature were you can record in high speed or slow motion.
According to a leaked specs list the phone is expected to have Wi-Fi and HSDPA support for high-speed data connections, with a built-in GPS receiver for navigation. It sounds much like the Renoir, but the difference is that the KC910 Renoir lacks the heavily promoted S-Class Touch UI and the plenty of memory 32 GB in-built memory the GC900 is rumored to come with. The phone is reported to use LG’s new S-Class 3D user interface, as well.
If you like your music then the LG Viewty 2 has a MP3 player and FM radio with RDS so you can download music or listen to your favourite radio station and also supports Bluetooth stereo. Other features include a video call camera, Div X/Xvid video support, DOLBY Mobile audio and push email.
The most recent rumor about this cell phone is that it’s going to arrive in Orange UK network some time in Q2 2009. The company didn’t give any information about the cost of the phone, but, according to some leaked information (a sneak peak of Orange UK release schedule) the LG GC900 or otherwise known as LG Viewty 2 is planned to hit the shelves in June this year.
