I have a very stressful job. I know most people don’t like these kinds of work places, but I absolutely love what I do. There are times when I want to throw my computer out the window, but there are more times when I want to high five everyone around me for the great job they are doing. I could tell that the stress was affecting me in some ways though, and I decided to go see a chiropractor in Campbell CA to see if there was anything that could be done about it.
I had a lot of pain in my shoulders and across my upper back, and I thought that this might be because I sat at a desk for so many hours throughout the day as well as the stress that I was feeling. I had no idea that a chiropractor could make me feel so good, because had I known that, I would have went to one years before I finally did. The only reason I did then is because I didn’t mind stressful days but I did mind painful days. One was bad enough, but having both occur on the same day meant that I was not functional.
The chiropractor was able to educate me on a few things that I was doing wrong even before giving me my first adjustment. He explained that an enjoyable job should not be stressful. He urged me to do things to make it less stressful for my mind and body, and he made some great points. He also talked to me about sitting so much. That was not good for my body either, and that is why I was experiencing so much pain. He went on to explain about adjustments, and he performed the first one after doing a physical examination on me. He finally told me that he would like to be a part of my health team, but that I had to be a part of it as well. It is hard to fight with logic like that, and I have started to implement a lot of his suggestions at work. I get my adjustments done on a regular basis too, and life is a lot sweeter now!
