Safe Transportation for Prom Night

We were proud of our daughter when she managed to land a date for prom. We found the site because we worried that she landed a prom date. She runs with a raucous group of kids and we worried they would get up to the usual trouble. It wasn’t six months ago that she had an enormous party here at our house when my wife and I went out of town to visit relatives. Of course, drinking was involved. Our worry is that they’ll go out drinking afterwards and something bad will happen. We didn’t want to take the chance this would occur.

So we found that site and rented a party bus. This also made sense because she’s going to the dance and activities afterwards with a large group of people. We figured keeping them all together would be safer. We also wanted to make sure they actually went to the scheduled activities instead of sneaking off somewhere to drink and potentially drive. Getting a bus and giving the driver directions will help make sure they actually attend the functions. Our daughter initially resisted our efforts to corral them around town. Then she actually went and took the bus.

It turns out they loved every minute of driving around in it. It was apparently quite a nice accommodation, with couches inside so the kids could all sit together with their dates. She said the other people at school were quite jealous of their luxury transport! The best thing of course is it kept them safe. I definitely would recommend a similar solution to other parents. Give them a chance to travel in a fancy bus and they’re less likely to do something dangerous that could cause tragedy for everyone involved. She’s got a younger sister and we’re going to do this again in a couple of years.
